Editorial policy

How teneron.online is written, checked and funded – and what we refuse to do. Last updated 6 October 2026.

Who writes

Articles are written and edited under the responsibility of Thomas Moore, editor and director of publication for DANBO Invest s.r.o.. Every article carries a named byline, a publication date and a “last reviewed” date. Drafting tools, including AI writing assistants, may be used; every factual statement is checked by the editor against the sources listed in the article before publication.

How we establish facts

  • Product facts (features, plans, renewal and refund terms) come from the vendor’s own public pages, and we state the date we checked them.
  • Security facts come from primary sources: operating-system vendors’ documentation, public agencies such as ENISA, the UK NCSC and CISA, and independent test laboratories.
  • We cite our sources at the end of each article, with links where available.
  • What we cannot verify, we say so – or leave it out. We do not publish statistics we cannot trace to a source.
  • We do not run our own malware laboratory and therefore do not publish our own test scores.

How the site is funded

teneron.online is funded by affiliate commissions. When you buy a product after clicking a link marked “Partner link”, the vendor or an affiliate network may pay us a commission. You pay the same price. We may also buy advertising (for example on search engines) to bring readers to our articles. We do not sell your data – we do not collect any; see the privacy policy.

Sponsored articles are labelled as such at the top of the page, with a disclosure bar on every page and a disclosure box directly under the headline, before any partner link.

What we refuse to do

  • No fake testimonials, invented “reader stories” or made-up user reviews.
  • No invented ratings, star scores or rankings that are not based on a disclosed method.
  • No artificial urgency: no fake countdowns, “only today” claims or invented stock limits.
  • No guaranteed-result claims: no product can promise to make your computer “100% safe” or a specific amount faster, and we will not say it does.
  • No scare tactics, such as implying your computer is infected because it is slow.
  • No product screenshots or brand imagery presented as our own; our illustrations are original.

Advertiser independence

Advertisers and affiliate partners do not write our articles and do not approve them before publication. A commission arrangement never buys a favourable verdict: we include limitations, cheaper or free alternatives (such as the protection built into Windows) and the terms readers should check, even when that may reduce our earnings. If an advertiser asks us to remove accurate, critical information, we refuse.

Corrections

If you believe something on this site is wrong or out of date, e-mail info@teneron.online with the page address and, if possible, a source. We review every report. When we correct a factual error we update the article, change the “last reviewed” date and describe the correction in the “About this article” box at the end of the page. We do not silently change substantive facts.
